Our registered nurses, certified coders and Certified Registered Nurse Coders (CRN-C) apply a comprehensive approach, combining clinical and coding guidelines for our customers.

Our staff is made up of employees, not subcontractors. Our certified coders and registered nurses understand the importance of thoroughly investigating evidentiary documentation, taking a holistic approach when performing clinical abstracts. The results are combined with the data collected from other sources (claims, labs, provider data, etc.) resulting in improved member-centric data. Oftentimes temporary employees, as used by other companies, are not personally invested in the organization and tend not take the extra step, failing to investigate every possible data element.

Outcomes Health’s employees, RNs and certified coders, are at the heart of our team. All abstractors on Outcomes Health’s Clinical Abstract Team possess at least two years of direct-coding and chart-abstracting experience. Upon hire, each member of the Clinical Abstract Team must pass a pre-employment examination as well as rigorous background checks and credentials verification.

We validate all credentials with nationally recognized professional industry organizations such as state nursing boards, AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association), AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders), and AACCA (American Association of Clinical Coders and Auditors).
